Decision Science IT Analyst Job Role: • Acquires and applies broad knowledge of the business, its products, and processes (fully experienced). • Effectively uses SAS for data analysis and predictive modeling. • Determines and implements the most efficient way of gathering information, validating, and preparing modeling. • Determines and applies routine modeling theories and techniques for business request. • Gathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root causes and develops work products. • Performs multiple team roles in the development and implementation of key initiatives. Minimum Requirements: Work Experience • 4+ years related work experience in statistical and model development. (Bachelors Degree). • 2+ years related work experience in statistical and model development. (Masters Degree). • 0-2 years related work experience statistical and model development. (PhD Degree). • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of data analysis tools. Technical Experience • Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools. • Advanced knowledge in developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI Tools or other analysis software. • Working knowledge in 2 or more modeling techniques (Generalized linear modeling, Time Series, CART, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, Factor analysis experimental design and hypothesis testing.) • Advanced knowledge of industry data sources. Preferred Requirements: • 6+ years related work experience in statistical analysis and model development. Job Duties: • Determines and implements the most efficient way of gathering information, validating, and preparing for modeling. • Determines and applies routine modeling theories and techniques for business request. • Leverages and participates in advanced technical, analytical and business knowledge sessions. • Leads “decision science” discussions and working sessions with cross-functional teams to best understanding complex business objective and influences technical solutions and business strategies. • Applies innovative and scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make “insight to action” recommendations to answer the business objective and drive the appropriate changes. • Translates recommendations into communication materials and effectively presents recommendations to colleagues for peer review and to mid/upper management.
